Robert Trent Jones Jr., the architect of Royal Westmoreland's world-class 18-hole championship golf course, believes it to be one of the finest, most challenging and most rewarding he has ever designed. Naturally, as a property owner or villa rental guest, you will be permitted access to this magnificent handicap tester.

It is a superb 6870 yard par 72 course of unrivalled beauty, and every hole has a view of the nearby shimmering ocean.

Masters Champion Ian Woosnam, who purchased a home here in the early stages of development, declares the course has some of the best par 3's he has ever played.

Spa
At The Sanctuary you'll discover a focal point of fitness and sheer relaxation; and of course, as a member or guest, you will be permitted to use all of the facilities, enjoying a comprehensive range of options, equipment and personal classes to help you maximize the benefits of your stay.

The Sanctuary is a superbly appointed oasis of tranquility where absolutely everything is available for your well-being. As well as full fitness facilities, there's a large outdoor swimming pool, plus a swimming pool for children, giving them hours of enjoyment and your complete peace of mind. Overlooking the pool is a stylish bar, and a whirlpool is also a part of the complex, for even further relaxation.

Tennis
This is something very special: the only Har-Tru tennis courts available in Barbados. The courts are floodlit for evening play. They're open from 07.00 until 21.00 hours.

Those who would like to improve their game are welcome to enter our Tennis Academy, where you'll enjoy first-class coaching through private lessons.

Beach
Royal Westmoreland is set above the Caribbean Ocean in the grounds of what was once a sugar plantation. To ensure our guests' total enjoyment, preferential beach access is available at nearby Glitter Bay and Royal Pavilion Hotels, a five minute journey by car.

The beach and watersports facilities of Glitter Bay and Royal Pavilion are there for your enjoyment, and right around Barbados the action on the water is exceptional. It's a water lover's playground, rewarding sailors of every type of craft from yachts to Hobie Cats, surfers and wind surfers, scuba and skin divers, parasailing enthusiasts, and just plain sun-worshippers luxuriating by the sea beneath an azure sky.

Children
The Pelicans nest club room is located at the Sanctuary. It is a dedicated facility that children between the ages 4 to 12 years of age may visit between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. each day with video games, toys and books provided for their entertainment. This room is only supervised during specific holiday periods and these times are posted on the sanctuary notice board.
During holiday periods the sanctuary team provide supervised sports camps and pelican club days. The charges and sign ups for these amenities are published on the notice board as you enter the Sanctuary.

The Pelican Club is meticulous in its planning, care and attention to detail, giving you absolute peace of mind while you relax by the pool, play golf or tennis, or simply enjoy the company of your friends. Your children will love it and so will you.
